The Chairman and the Board of Directors invite you to the 2025 BECS Annual General Meeting on 2nd December at 2.30pm
Dear Members,
It’s been another busy and productive year for BECS, as we continue our core mission of collecting and distributing the statutory payments owed to you.
Alongside this, BECS remains deeply committed to campaigning and lobbying – not only to protect the rights of audiovisual artists, but also to expand your earning potential in areas where your work has previously gone unpaid.
The rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping industries across the globe, and the Arts are no exception. AI has been a constant topic of discussion among both staff and Board members throughout the year. While it brings exciting opportunities for innovation, it also presents serious risks for artists and creatives. These developments make our work more vital than ever, reinforcing the importance of having a strong, unified voice when engaging with government, the media and the wider industry on your behalf.
I warmly invite you to join us at our upcoming Annual General Meeting, where we’ll reflect on the year’s achievements, discuss the challenges ahead, and hear directly from you. Your voice matters, and together we can continue to shape a fairer future for all audiovisual artists.
Warm regards,
Jean Rogers
